We will be supporting the KEONG SAIK CARNIVAL end of this month. Roads will be a closed for a street party (Thank you, Potato Head Folk) with a bash of visual arts, DJs, band music, drinks and a bunch of kick-ass supporters.

Here’s the press release from the organizers:

Paying homage to the historic neighbourhood held dear to our hearts, Potato Head brings to you the inaugural Keong Saik Carnival. This all-day street carnival aspires to display the neoteric charms of Keong Saik street, where past inspires present, traditions meets contemporaries and a day where the young and old come together to create memories of new treats on these old streets.

Keong Saik Carnival will showcase the best of yesteryears from legendary local 60’s band to experimental collaborations of traditional Chinese musicians with cutting-edge electronic DJs, as well as avant-rock outfits and the freshest underground sounds of Hip-hop, Bass, House, Funk, Soul & Disco beatsmiths from across Asia.

Accompanying the trad-mod soundscape of the carnival is a street bazaar filled with quirky peddlers ranging from clothing to homeware, cult magazines to vinyl records, pop-up cocktail bars and more. Expect a feast for your senses with live art installations, visual projections on iconic art-deco shophouses, heritage tours, cultural workshops as well as a culinary feast along the streets from carnival tapas to gourmet cuisine to local zi-char and much more by our lovely Keong Saik neighbours.

If all this sounds too hip for you, just head down to our Booth 27 (Next to Leica) and we can just talk motorcycles. Some of our classic bikes will be on display along with our new work wear and merchandise. The will be rare bikes in Singapore like a ’61 Triumph Tiger & a ’78 BMW R60/7. Mark your calendar. Come experience the iconic Keong Saik with a day of beats & treats.
